One of the most common questions concerning pages customization in WordPress is about possibility to get different layouts for different pages. For instance, a theme as such is very nice, but some specific pages would look better without sidebar, but an applied WordPress theme layout’s settings don’t give possibility to turn off left or right sidebar for some pages.
So, is it possible to turn off sidebars if this options is not available on WordPress theme layout panel? Yes, it is possible, because WordPress pages are build in modular way, so you can add sidebar to a page, or remove it. The best way is to prepare page template with removed sidebar in code and use it for content. So, actually this job is done on PHP files level. However, some templates can provide such functionality on user panel level.
